Day 1 – Arrive Vancouver

Day 2 – Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
Board the Rocky Mountaineer this morning for your all-daylight journey to Kamloops, located in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Today’s journey brings dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Your day comes to a close early this evening as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight Kamloops. (B, L)
Day 3 – Kamloops to Banff
Your rail journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Scenic highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Day 4 – Banff National Park at Your Leisure
The entire day is free for you to explore Banff National Park via your rental car. Highlights of this amazing area within the Canadian Rockies include Johnston Canyon, Lake Minnewanka, Bow Falls, Castle Mountain, Valley of the Ten Peaks, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Emerald Lake. Overnight Banff.
Day 5 – Banff to Calgary
Embark on a leisurely drive through Kananaskis Country and Alberta’s ranching region on your way to Calgary. You’ll be amazed by the colourful scenery and stunning vistas. Overnight Calgary.
Day 6 – Calgary
Drop off your rental car in downtown Calgary or at Calgary International Airport, where your holiday comes to a close.
