Itinerary

Day 1 - Toronto, Canada’s Largest City
Arrive in Vancouver today and transfer on your own to your city centre hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore this delightful city. Overnight Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Day 2 - Toronto Sightseeing and Departure for Jasper
You have a full day at your leisure to explore the best of Vancouver. Visit Stanley Park, ferry over to Granville Island, shop Robson Street, and explore the cobblestone streets of Gastown. Transfer to the rail station this evening and prepare for your 20:30 evening departure aboard the Canadian snow train. As the train heads east toward the Canadian Rockies, settle into your first class accommodations aboard the train: a sitting by day that converts into to upper and lower berths at night. Overnight train.

Day 3 - VIA Rail Toronto to Jasper
When you awake this morning you will be met with outstanding views of the Canadian Rockies. Take this morning to enjoy the lounge cars and their premier observation decks aboard the train and indulge in delicious meals in the dining car. After lunch, the train pulls into Jasper. The staff from the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge will meet your train and escort you to this luxurious hotel in the midst of Jasper National Park. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Day 4 - Jasper National Park
The entire day is at your leisure to enjoy Jasper. Take advantage of the many amenities available through your hotel, or indulge in some winter outdoor activities including ice skating or cross-country skiing. Overnight Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

Day 5 - Jasper to Lake Louise
The morning is yours to continue your exploration of Jasper. This afternoon, embark on a scenic sightseeing transfer along the stunning Icefield Parkway to Lake Louise. This area outside of Banff is truly picture-perfect. Snow-capped mountains surround the frozen lake with the famous chateau, your residence for the evening. Every year the Chateau builds an ice castle on the lake once it is frozen. A little known fact is that the ice is imported from British Columbia! Take time before dinner to get acquainted with the area. You may want to ask the concierge at your hotel about the availability of sleigh rides. Overnight Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 6 - Lake Louise to Banff
Enjoy your morning in Lake Louise before travelling east to Banff, the resort town known for its well-groomed ski runs, hot springs, and beautiful National Park. areas. Overnight Fairmont Banff Springs.

Day 7 - Banff
Today is yours to experience Banff at your leisure. Take advantage of the plethora of winter activities available within Banff or enjoy some of your hotel’s amenities. Overnight Fairmont Banff Springs.

Day 8 - Transfer to Calgary
Here in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, your winter rail holiday comes to an end. You may elect to add additional nights to your itinerary in Banff, or transfer to Calgary for your return flight home.
