Itinerary

Day 1 – UK - Nuremberg
We travel by Eurostar from London St Pancras International to Brussels and join the local rail network to reach Nuremberg where we check into our overnight hotel.


Day 2 – Nuremberg - Prague
After an early breakfast we travel by rail to Prague, known as ‘City of a Hundred Spires’. Venture into the historic centre and you will find plaques which point out tourist landmarks on a circular route this is the Silver Line through Golden Prague; a great way to explore the city at your own pace before we board our ship in the mid afternoon.


Day 3 – Prague - Mělnik
This morning you can join our optional City Tour to see the highlights and attractions Prague has to offer. In the early afternoon we set sail along the River Vltava (also known as the Moldau) and cruise to the attractive town of Mělnik in the Czech Republic, on the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava, where we berth overnight.

Day 4 – Mělnik - Bad Schandau
Today we join the River Elbe and enjoy a full day cruising, taking in wonderful scenery as we head towards our overnight stop in Bad Schandau .

Day 5 – Bad Schandau - Dresden
Our cruise route takes us through the breathtaking landscape of Saxon Switzerland, a region dominated by huge, smooth rocks and deep valleys. We reach Dresden in the early afternoon, nicknamed ‘Florence on the Elbe’, where you can take an optional City Tour to see the highlights of this fascinating place.

Day 6 – Dresden - Meissen
Enjoy some free time in Dresden before we cruise to Meissen, where you can join our optional excursion of this city which has a fascinating history going back more than 1000 years. It is chiefly famed for its production of fine porcelain which you can learn about on our visit to the House of Meissen.

Day 7 – Meissen - Wittenberg
Early this morning we set sail for the old university town of Wittenberg, home to the most important and interesting Reformation museum in Germany – The Luther House. Enjoy free time at leisure or take advantage of the optional excursion to follow in the footsteps of Martin Luther and see the town’s historic landmarks.

Day 8 – Wittenberg - Magdeburg
Another early sailing takes us to Magdeburg, a cosmopolitan city with a rich and colourful past. Join our City Tour and see the many beautiful sights and attractions which bear witness to the city’s 1200 year old history.

Day 9 – Magdeburg - Berlin
We disembark our ship this morning and travel to Germany’s capital city, Berlin. Check into our overnight hotel and then enjoy free time in this wonderful city or join our guided City Tour.

Day 10 - Berlin - UK
After breakfast we travel by by rail and retrace our route to Brussels for the return Eurostar connection
