Day 1 – UK - Andernach
We travel to Andernach and board our ship where
you can relax or venture into this attractive
Rhineland town.
Day 2 – Andernach - Cochem
Cruising up the Rhine to Koblenz, where the Rhine
and Moselle meet, we continue through the
spectacular Moselle Valley to reach the charming
town of Cochem. Here you can sample some of the
regions fine wines on our optional excursion before
enjoying a relaxing evening in Cochem.
Day 3 – Cochem - Bernkastel
Following the gentle twists and turns of the
Moselle, we stop at the wine capital of Bernkastel.
Our optional excursion introduces you to the
highlights of this beautiful town, including the
famous medieval square with its iconic half-timbered
houses.
Day 4 – Bernkastel - Trier
Casting off this morning, we pass quaint villages
and vineyards before calling in at Trier, Germany’s
oldest city. With so much to see in this former
residence of Roman Emperors you can take our
optional tour, or explore at leisure.
Day 5 – Trier - Traben Trarbach
Discover the ‘Gibraltar of the North’ on our full day
optional excursion to Luxembourg. Meanwhile our
ship sails to the spa and wine centre of Traben
Trarbach where we return in time for dinner.
Day 6 – Traben Trarbach - Cochem - Koblenz
We retrace our route to Cochem where you can join
our optional Meandering Moselle Towns excursion,
visiting the quaint villages of Beilstein and
Winnigen. We return to our ship, back on the Rhine
in the walled city of Koblenz, where you can join our
wine tasting optional excursion.
Day 7 – Koblenz - Rüdesheim
Cruising through dramatic scenery, we reach the
Rhineland town of Rüdesheim. To really appreciate
this beautiful region you can join our optional
highlights excursion, which features a panoramic
ride to the heights of the Rhine Gorge by cable car.
Day 8 – Rüdesheim - Andernach
Our final port of call is Andernach where you can
join our optional excursion to the Namedyer Werth
Nature Reserve. A 15 minute boat ride on the Rhine
takes you to see the unique natural phenomenon of
the Andernach Geyser – the world’s highest cold
water geyser. We also visit the Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Andernach - UK
This morning we bid farewell to our Captain and
crew and disembark for the return journey to the UK.
