Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Rome
Arrive at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport and meet your driver for your private transfer to your centrally-located hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Nord Nuova Roma or similar.

Day 2 – Rome Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a semi-private sightseeing tour of the city. Visit all of Rome’s popular landmarks including St. Peter’s Square, the Coliseum, the Forum, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight you will have reservations at your choice of restaurants where you can get a taste of the local cuisine over a three-course meal. Overnight Nord Nuova Roma or similar. (B, D)

Day 3 – Rome at Your Leisure
The entire day is yours to explore Rome at your own pace. Or, you may wish to take an optional guided tour of the Vatican Museums or an excursion to Naples and Pompeii. Overnight Nord Nuova Roma or similar. (B)

Day 4 – Eurostar Italia to Florence
After breakfast, transfer by private car to the rail station for your first-class rail journey to Florence. Upon arrival at the train station, you will be met by your driver for your transfer to your centrally-located hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to begin to explore this grand city of the Renaissance. Overnight Hotel Cellai or similar. (B)

Day 5 – Explore Florence
Embark on your orientation tour of Florence. Enjoy the sights as you travel by coach along the Viale dei Colli to Piazzale Michelangelo for a panoramic photo stop before continuing on to the old city and a walking tour of the Duomo. The highlight of the day will surely be a visit to the Galleria dell’Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David statue. After an afternoon at leisure, enjoy a three-course dinner at a local restaurant. Day 6 – Florence at Your Leisure
The entire day is free for you to experience Florence as you like it. Shop the leather markets or meander along the city’s winding streets. You may wish to embark on an optional excursion, like a visit to Siena and San Gimignano or a private gastronomic walking tour—the best way to experience Florence’s specialty shops and sample regional wines. Overnight Hotel Cellai or similar. (B)

Day 7 – Train to Venice
You have a private transfer today from your hotel to the rail station after breakfast. Board the Eurostar Italia for the first-class journey to Venice. Upon arrival, you will be met by a local host who will escort you by private boat to your centrally-located hotel. En route, your host will provide an orientation of the main sights along the Grand Canal. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Hotel San Zulian or similar. (B)

Day 8 – Discover Venice
The morning and early afternoon is at your leisure to explore Venice. Early this evening, venture to the pier for your private gondola ride. Overnight Hotel San Zulian or similar. (B)

Day 9 – Venice at Your Leisure
After breakfast, the entire day is yours to shop or explore on your own. You may wish to take an optional excursion like the popular 3 Islands Tour, which visits the islands of Murano, known for its glass; Burano, known for its lace; and, Torcello, home of the first Cathedral in the lagoon. Dinner this evening will be at a local restaurant near the Opera House. Overnight Hotel San Zulian or similar. (B, D)

Day 10 – Arrivederci, Italia
Your grand Italian vacation comes to an end after breakfast. Your private driver will meet you in your hotel lobby this morning for your transfer to either the Venice rail station or the airport.
