Day 1 - London to Goslar
Meet your Tour Manager today at our dedicated Departure Office in London St Pancras International. Here, you board the Eurostar service to Brussels where you travel by rail to Hanover via Cologne, before continuing to Goslar by coach. On arrival check in to your hotel, the 4-Star Der Achtermann. (D)
Day 2 - Exploring Goslar
This morning, enjoy a fascinating guided tour of Goslar. At this time of year, this UNESCO World Heritage site is transformed into a winter wonderland, with seasonal markets and events taking place across the town. After the tour, you are free to continue exploring as you wish. (B)
Day 3 - Day at Leisure in Goslar
You are free in Goslar today, why not embrace the warmth of a hot drink in a street café or visit any of Goslar's 47 churches, chapels and monasteries? (B)
Day 4 - The Brocken Railway
Today you board the steam-hauled, narrow-gauge Brocken Railway. This delightful old train takes you through some superb scenery of wintry pine forests and frosty meadows as you make your way up the summit of Brocken to Brockenbahnhof. Later, make a visit to Wernigerode where you have some free to explore the area at leisure. (B, D)
Day 5 - Quedlinberg & the Selketal Railway
Today you embark on a wonderfully scenic journey on the historic Selketal Railway. This excellent train runs through the crisp winter countryside, tracking through the Selke Valley. Quedlinburg is your destination today, and you have the opportunity to explore this beautifully preserved town at your own pace. Here you can discover the traditional cobbled streets, passing a fine collection of medieval timber-framed buildings and Romanesque architecture in the Old Town, which was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 1994. Day 6 - Homeward bound
You bid a fond farewell to Germany, first returning to Hanover via coach before the journey to Brussels via Cologne by rail. Here you connect with the Eurostar service to London. (B)

Found in the cultural Old Town of Goslar, the Hotel Der Achtermann is set in a historic building which fits in perfectly with the architecture of the city. The interiors feature contemporary interior design and well-appointed furniture, and there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.
